Eddie will do everything in his power ...and she is certain he will succeed! Doreen feels terrible that she had doubted him. She had almost fallen for the deception of Milt. It is so disturbing, that during their friendship through all those years of school, she had never seen Milt as being capable of doing something like this.  It is so sad ...as it is anytime we lose faith in part of humanity.
